Are you a self published author?

Yes.I am very proud of the fact that I retain full control over the price, frequency, and quality of my books. Because of my loyal readers, I was able to make the New York Times Bestselling list as an indie author.

How can I get your books in print?

My books are available through Amazon in print. Click here to go directly to my Amazon page. You can also click on the STORE link at the top of this page to get autographed paperback books sent straight from me to your house.

How do I know what books you have coming out and when?

I do my best to keep my website updated with my works in progress as well as release dates. I also have a newsletter that I use to inform my readers of when new releases will be, teasers, and excerpts.

How do I subscribe to your newsletter?

Click on "Contact" at the top of the page, then scroll down until you see the "Sign up for Susan's Newsletter" form.

You are a new author to me, is there a way I can check out your writing before I decide to purchase?

Of course. Right now the Beyond Reality Series books are enrolled in Kindle Unlimited through Amazon, so if are you are in the program you can download my books for free. Protecting Caroline, the first book in the SEAL of Protection Series is free on all platforms, so you can read that one for free to see if you like my style of writing. You can also use the Sample feature through Amazon to read the first part of each book.

Why are your reality show books and your Annie George pen name book only available on Amazon and not other venues?

In order for a book to be in Kindle Unlimited, a book can ONLY be sold on Amazon. The Kindle and/or Nook App are FREE. You can download either on your PC, phone, or tablet for free and still be able to read my books. Click here to download the Kindle App version that will work best for you.

Are reviews on Goodreads and Amazon really that important?

The short answer is yes!! Amazon uses reviews as part of their secret calculations to determine who they will market your book to and how many browsing readers will see it. I welcome any and all reviews on any of my books. I realize that what I write might not appeal to all readers, but I still encourage everyone to let me know your thoughts. I don't expect every reader to leave a 5 star or a very long review. Just be honest in your review. I have done the math and found that less than 1% of all purchases of my books have had a review left. THAT is why reviews are important.

Share one thing about yourself that you would like readers to know.

I’m a nerd! I’m not fashionable, I don’t wear high heels, I tend to like to sit at home on the weekends then have a wild night on the town…and that’s okay. I’m happy with who I am and with my life.

What’s your favorite thing about the genre you write in?

That the men and women always end up together. I’m a complete romantic and I love being able to write stories where, even with complications, the characters always come together and would do anything for each other in the end.

In your opinion, what makes a good romance?

I think the reader has to find something in “common” with the heroine and/or Hero. They have to LIKE them. If you don’t like the character, chances are you won’t like the book.

Where do you come up with the names for the characters in your books? Honestly?

I use and abuse my friends! I’m more about the character of the people in my books, and not as much into the name. I have to admit that I had a coworker tell me what they were going to name their baby, and I totally stole the name for a character in a book. I mean come on, doesn’t “Hunter Knox” just scream hunky Navy SEAL in your mind? Yeah, mine too, so her baby’s name will live on forever now. lol
